I love the things that come out of the mouths of mothers everywhere. Things you simply should not have to say. Words that should not, in a sane world, be put in the same sentence.
"...So who glued the rocks to the patio?"
I should not have to ask. It sounds absurd once it comes out of my mouth, and indeed, I know the answer. But the why is always entertaining, even though for safety reasons I MUST NOT SMILE.

By the way, I read the House at Pooh Corner recently - I came across it while packing. I cried so much at the end! Have you guys read the House at Pooh Corner?

The comment I have was made a couple of years ago but will stick in my mind forever - WHY did you put diaper rash medicine in Will's hair?! The answer was - Hannah wanted to fix Will's hair like Daddy's. She used the diaper rash medicine instead of hair gel.
